Private Tutoring for All Subjects in SI
Resource Room offers private, individualized tutoring for all subject areas from K – 12. We can work alongside emerging learners all the way through the most challenging high school courses.
Elementary Level (K-5)
Private tutoring at the elementary levels focuses on building strong foundations in both Math and English Language Arts (ELA). Starting at the Kindergarten level students are introduced to basic phonics, number systems, and sight words.
Grades 1 – 2 continue to expand upon the foundations of reading and begin to introduce the basics of addition, subtraction, telling time, counting money, and concepts like pictographs.
Grade 3 is a pivotal year where an introduction of multiplication tables and basic division begins.
Grades 4-5 build on the foundations introduced in the previous grades and add in more complex topics like fractions, decimals, and conceptual/inference-based learning.
For these levels, we work with students to build on the foundations that are introduced to them during their school day, promote confidence, and work to instill a love of learning that will carry through each consecutive grade level. Students who work with us on a consistent basis display increased performance in the classroom on quizzes and exams and begin to develop necessary study skills that help make homework time a smoother more seamless process.
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Middle School students are introduced to academic content that is more complex and requires higher order thinking skills. Success at the middle school level is more likely when students enter on or near grade level. Students who need to rebuild basic Math or ELA skills or who are looking to achieve greater academic success will benefit greatly from private tutoring.
High School (Grades 9-12)
The High School Level offers the most complex and diverse course offerings. Students will engage in higher level concepts in ELA, Science, History, and Math.
