SHSAT prep can be challenging and every student has unique learning needs. The Resource Room focuses on individual needs and never moves on to a new topic without building a full understanding of the previous topic.
Our classes are rigorous, taught by licensed Math and English teachers, and provide comprehensive classwork and homework materials from a variety of sources.

Resource Room aims to provide a full line of instructional programs for students of all ages.
Last Years’ SHSAT students were offered admission into SI Tech, Stuyvesant, and Brooklyn Tech.
*We are offering both classes and private tutoring.

Below is the SHSAT 2023 Fall Schedule.
This class is designed to assist incoming eighth grade students in preparation for the SHSAT exam. It will drill extensive content in both the English and Math sections of the test, allowing students to become familiar not only with the content on the exam, but also the structure and time-constraints of the exam. The class will cover test taking tips and techniques, time management, and content refresh and reinforcement.

Diagnostics can be scheduled to track individual progres
Summer Private Schedule
SHSAT Summer begins on July 5th. Our options are meant to familiarize students with the format and content of the SHAST exam. Each will cover instruction as well as test taking skills. Instruction will ensure that students are comfortable with each section on the SHSAT exam.
Option A : Summer 2023 — 10 hours to be used from July 5 to Aug 18. 10 hour package will include a diagnostic before sessions begin and after sessions are complete to track progress. This individualized approach will ensure students’ areas of growth are targeted and practiced.

Private one-on-one tutoring for the SHSAT is available by appointment throughout the duration of the summer and fall of 2023.

The Specialized High School Admissions Test includes:
- Reading: students analyze and interpret passages by answering questions
- Verbal: Grammar Rules and text-based editing.
- Mathematical word problems and computational questions
- Problems in arithmetic, algebra, probability, statistics, and geometry (Multiple Choice)
- Open-ended Math questions. (Not Multiple Choice)
We offer Individual One-to-One instruction or Small Class Instruction. Our SHSAT Prep is intensive, focused, and taught only by licensed NYS Teachers.
